How to Choose What to Wear for Your Family Photos

One of the questions we get most often is: 'What should we wear?' It's such a great question — and the answer can make a huge difference in how your photos turn out.

Here's our simple approach: start with one person's outfit as your anchor piece. Usually that's the person with the most specific taste — often mom or one of the kids. Build the rest of the family's outfits around that piece, pulling colors and tones that complement without being too matchy-matchy.

Avoid busy patterns and large logos — they pull attention away from the faces we really want to highlight. Soft, neutral, or earthy tones tend to photograph beautifully in natural settings.

Most importantly: wear something you feel good in. Confidence comes through in photos more than any outfit choice. If you feel comfortable and like yourself, that's going to shine in every single image.
